Freight Lift Used to Move Lumber to 2nd Floor Storage Area
Introduction
Freight Lite VRC provides access to the upper level for lumber product storage.
Project Challenge
The Highland Lumber Company in Tabernash, Colorado is expanding their business and adding a second level storage area to store lumber and other products. They built a shaft way to the storage area and wanted a lift that would fit in the vertical space.
Our Solution
Autoquip recommended a FLT-15 Freight-Lite for this application. This is our smallest and most economical lift and will work perfectly for the space in the shaft way. However, the customers pit was actually deeper than required for the FLT, so we provided platform-landing legs to take up the additional pit depth. This order included standard controls, but Autoquip did not need to supply gates or enclosures because the customer’s existing shaft way included access doors at each level.
The Results
Autoquip’s Freight Lite VRC will provide access to the upper level allowing more useable storage space. We were able to provide a lift to fit within the customer’s requirements at a very competitive price. The customer can now support their increase in inventory and safely transfer products to the upper level storage area.
