High Travel Scissors Lifts for Wood Stacking Process
Introduction
(2) Tork 2 – 96″ high travel scissors lifts play critical role in integrated conveyor system for wood stacking and finishing process.
Project Challenge
Con-vey who is an industrial equipment manufacturer and supplier of automated machinery for engineered wood products wanted to integrate (2) scissor lift platforms into their conveyor system that would move wood panels for their finishing process. The scissor lifts would need to travel 96 inches for stacking loads on a continuous cycle.
Our Solution
Autoquip’s engineering team recommended (2) Tork 2 Scissor Lifts each with a 30 HP continuous running motor to meet the demands of the fast-paced production line. We included accordion skirting inboard platform parameters to protect the leg sets and other mechanisms from dust and wood particles that are natural to this application process.
