Custom Work Platform with Precision “Aperture” Platform Design

This is a video of Autoquip's new work platform design of what we call the "Aperture" which allows the platform to closes 360 degrees around a jet engine allowing safe walk on access. The Aperture is driven by a gear motor and 6 linear actuators that will "open/shut" steel skin wedges around the cylindrical engine (from fully open at 66" diameter, down to 2" diameter when fully closed). In this video you will see our plant test of the aperture mechanisms without the platform deck mounted for a fully operational view and then our test with the platform deck installed.
